I haven't used Drupal but I suspect that this application might be a good fit for it. Perhaps you might know.
A client of mine wants a basic informational website ... that can also provide customized confidential files to her clients.
Perhaps with Drupal's login capability, each client can login and have a dedicated webpage where these confidential files can be placed for them to download.
Is this feasible?
Will the base Drupal package be sufficient?
Can I run Drupal under SSL?
Few weeks ago, I have never heard of CMS, not to mention Drupal. Now I am starting a website using drupal. Can anyone please provide a few suggestions to modules that I should install. Here's the basic functionality of the website.
-A main page with search function that can search by category.
-Secondary pages that are created by its users who inputs texts/links...
The information on the secondary page should appear in the same order for every user who inputs these informations.

so, I have this online dictionary app. It has its own database, and I have PHP programmed to edit different parts of this database (such as add a word, edit a word, add translations). So all that is custom built.
How would Drupal lie in with this functionality? I don't have a proper mental model to understand how this would be achieved :) My reason for using Drupal is to extend the site's content and for its support for social networking (users, forums, etc).
