I'm new to Drupal, been reading some books, going through different tutorials and trying bit of this and that. Still a bit overwhelmed by its complexity.. :D
My first project is a site, where user is able to buy/sell monetary investment(s) of different sizes after authentication and monitor monthly paid profits of his/her investment(s). I'm going with D7 (mainly) because the authentication module is not yet available in D8.
I am setting up a Drupal application, and I am a little unsure of Drupals configurations.
Most of the data that I need to display on the site resides in an Oracle database (cannot be changed). I did some research and I know that core Drupal uses MySQL. I read that, at the moment, Drupal does not support Oracle - is this referring to using Oracle as the core database, or am I able to use Oracle as my second database (adding a second db in settings.php)?.
I'm reviewing what Druapl distribution to focus on and use to demo an Intranet solution to client. Kindly help recommend from your experience between these three (with steady maintainance):
1) Open Atirum
2) Open Social
3) Open Lucius
What I'm looking for is a solution that is not complex, easy to tweak technically (customization) and user friendly with good UI. Built on Drupal 7 preferred.
I've been working on my site on drupal 8.2.6
but I find out that my website's mailing system isn't working in the forget password, contact form recipient, etc
Is it a problem that my mail MX record isn't my website's
My MX record is pointing to mx.yandex.net
if it's a problem how do I fix it
