I would like to know if Drupal has been used for On-Prem managed intranet usage; and if it has proven successful? I know in essence that Drupal can be hosted internally, however, I have some areas that I am confused about. I am currently hunting for software that can be hosted onsite and used to develop a intranet complete with message boards, project management & collaboration, user permissions and tracking.
Hello! I'm a 2nd Year IT student, and have taken up the challenge of creating a basic e-commerce website for a small business owner, for a Year Project.
I discover Drupal from 1 year now (with the 8), and it's rock, but i need some arguments to use it in some projects.
First for the small one.
One year ago i start using it for small website, most of them was some restaurants. There is only 4 or 5pages for each of them, but i founded the content system with the views system perfect for manage the content of there menu card, and easy to deploy using the multisite way.
I've built some sites in Drupal 7, which is a trusted environment for me now.
Now I have to create a new site and I wonder what the advantages are of Drupal 8, further than the online editing stuff... ckeditor installed and so on...
What I want to know about Drupal 8 is:
- is it a better platform for mobile devices (smartphone/tablet)?
- what about roles/permissions, easier and more flexible to use?
- what about security, is it safe enough?
Hi, I'm going to upgrade my D7 install to D7 and use another new theme.
As I'm evaluating themes would I be correct in assuming that a D8 only theme _might_ be a better choice than a theme that is compatible with both D7 and D8 as backwards compability often lead to compromises and lesser performance or lesser integrations with the "latest stuff" ?
A few days ago install drupal 7 and after installing the module Forums and Galleries I can not create content of any kind. I can not create new nodes, when trying to make the page does not advance.
