Hey everyone. Ive got a request to make several instances of a branded support site. I want to have all sites share the exact same content (same database, same drupal instance), but allow for things like 'company name', 'contact info', 'company logo', etc.. to change per site.
Ive been reading up on multi site configs, but didnt really see a way to implement this particular functionality.
Anyone have any ideas? Im going to look into apache modules as well, but would rather figure out a way to do this within drupal if its possible.
I just took on an at-home design project for a website. Up till this point the website has been up and running but it needs some tweaks and additions. I am unfamiliar with Drupal and I am having trouble setting up a test site in my home office. Hopefully someone can assist me in setting up Drupal so I can access the company's server for their database and migrate any changes for publication.
Like I said, this is my first time with Drupal and I'm having difficulty understanding the websites directions. ANY assistance would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
I decided to bite into Drupal's deep philosophical marketing. ;) And to make something useful while I get my hands dirty, I've chosen a basic database exercise: get data from the user, present it back, and allow him to update it. I hope you can point me in the right direction to get started quickly. I want:
I just want to say I just began studying Drupal over the past few days, and I must say I am very excited to learn from this forum and from the abundance of resource on this powerful framework. I'm reading a Drupal-realted book, but before I dive in too deep I seem to be struggling a little to understand what seems to be a pretty simple concept:
I run a small web design company, and provide most of my clients with Content Management Systems so that they may maintain their websites themselves. Until now, I've been custom building them (along with my team) and providing them to clients. My question is, can I customize Drupal the same way and "sell" the sites to the clients? Can I build Drupal CMS websites for my clients and sell them? It seems like a trivial question and my research into the issue seems to suggest it comes down to 'wording' of what you're actually providing the client.
I guess before I really take this framework and try and apply it to my own business potential (which I'm excited about!) that I make sure it can contribute value over the long term, and that I can improve on my CMS offerings by moving from Custom-built CMS (PHP) to Drupal opportunities.
Hi,
Im new to Drupal. And I found that many business listing sites are running on Drupal. Initially I was planning to use Wordpress for my business listing. But then, I was really impressed with the Drupal sites and they reflected what I wanted exactly. Please help me how to do that.
This is my earning for my bread. Please contribute.
