Before you start

Some friends and I run a small community website which is currently running in Joomla. When we decided from the outset to create a website, we had an ideal in mind in terms of what the features would be like and how it would work. Unfortunately, none of us have much website design or even coding experience. The best of us has a small amount of CSS knowledge. Nevertheless, we were able to get a functional website that looked fairly good made in Joomla. It was a fairly painful process and one I'd rather not go through all over again if I don't have to.

However, since none of us knew how to implement the advanced features we kinda hit a wall in some of the bigger features we wanted to put in. We were striving for a more user-driven site that integrated with the forums (which is running in phpbb). Essentially, a site that had global accounts that would allow users to sign into their account from the front page and forums. I understand this isn't all too difficult to do in Drupal with a bridge module, but we weren't able to get one working in Joomla.

I guess my first question is how well does the phpBBforum Integration module work? Our forums attract most of our user-base and is the best built thing we've made so far. The features in this Integration module seem exactly what we were looking for.

I am using drupal to develop a website for a restaurant but struggling to find a module or suitable solution for my project.

Let me give an example and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

I create a new page and enter a meal, lets say 'Curry', I assign it to the specific taxonomy terms, spicy, does not contain nuts etc.
