I'm kind of familiar with Drupal, but haven't used a shopping cart with it before.

Hi guys, hopefully you can point me in the right direction here.

I'm working on a new project to create a mountain bike selector website.

There are many many many types of mountain bikes used for various purposes each
with various features, options and price points as well as availability globally.

It's an audacious project but the idea is to keep it very small to begin with and scale upwards
as we iron out issues and gain a user base.

I'm somewhat familiar with commerce and reasonably familiar with theming - moreso with d6 than 7.

My primary concern is the selector itself.

Take for example a 40 year old mother who wants to join her husband every few weeks on a trail versus
a 15 year old kid who is saving every penny he gets to buy a full suspension downhill beast for use 4 times a week.

Both will begin on the same page. They choose their gender, answer some grouped questions i.e. skill level, usage level, experience
and all the while the system while filter out unrequired results.

I need to be able to create a taxonomy that will categorise the products and their uses / abilities. Is there any modules that could assist with
the wizard style element and the filtering end of things. Initially we might have up to 100 products.

Ideally the filter would be dynamic, i.e. every change will refilter items, but this is a 'would like to have'.

I'm new to drupal, I don't even know where to start. Everything looks pretty confusing, but I want to learn how to use drupal because it seems more powerful than the other scripts i was running. I don't know where to start, I hope someone can steer me in the right direction.

Here's what I want to do:
I want to create a knowledgebase, blog site (people can create their own blog), and a forums. I was trying to use Wordpress to get this done, but I didn't like the way I had to set it up.

We are considering using Drupal for the rebuild of a community site and would love to take our business down the open source route but I am still un-convinced as to whether Drupal modules can deliver in certain areas without the need for large scale development.

These are:

- Can Drupal serve up personalised content based on user browsing behaviour, e.g.

pages a user has visited
the site a user was on previously
the current location of the user, e.g the city they are in?

I want to build project with Drupal 6 here is the project details.

1) The system will be having 3 roles:
• Instructor
• Student
• Admin
2) Admin
• Managing user accounts, course registration approval
3) Teacher
• Login, Create / Modify course details, set Quizzes, assign grades, online lectures with whiteboard functionality
4) Student
• Login, Register / Unregister for courses, take quizzes, online lectures , view lectures in offline mode
5) Online whiteboard functionality.
