so the search would include a form that has main categories and their sub categories... plus the layout changes depending on the subcategory: header and background image....
On each subcategory would have a menu, and on each menu (item#1,2 etc) would be a list/directory (some of them featured).
Then on the index page, some featured itens (from the subcategories), other featured articles and suggestions...
Bit confused seeing so many non coders and non website builders posting in these forums when they pay others to do the work for them.
Kind of like a non mechanic asking how to fix a car when maybe they can't even change a tyre and are never planning to.
Anyway, to each his own but I'd prefer employers to have their own section.
What is the best practice in regards to the excessive HTML markup Drupal spits out (Esp around blocks and fields) ....remove or keep? I've looked at page source for the bigger Drupal sites out there and see both. Does leaving it in affect SEO? And taking it out (let's say I have 10 blocks) leads to 10 block templates in theme file which could hit performance...is there an official Drupal best practice on this?
My company is looking for new web content management system and are strongly considering Drupal, but we have a few questions about it before we begin. The most important are:
a) is it able to handle large amounts of data collection in the form of XML files? In other words, will the files be clear and the connection fast when a user enters the site to access the data?
I'm creating a new website. It's a community site where users can share their photographs and it has to have social features (add friends, send private message, etc)
So it's need to have a forum board, gallery, some social network functions, content or blog where users can post, reputation for users, and advance group management (normal users, moderators, administrators, etc)
I was thinking to use Invision Power Community Suite, but if Drupal have all these features, I can switch over.
I have a Drupal 7 website where I have freelancers go in and post content/nodes.
Right now I have them login under different usernames and passwords, but I'm thinking about making it to where they all login from under one (the same) username and password account simply because I am tired of making new accounts.
