Before you start

Hello fellow drupalizers!

So, ive came up with this great idea for a community, with all these ideas on how to make it really fun and addictive place to hang out! And ive been suggested by a highly skilled webcreator (mostly joomla and html/php coding etc). He have never tried drupal but he heard alot about it and got some guys on the office that are skilled with it, and i belive ive come to the right software to do this.

Im pretty average computer using guy, currently studying business systems, ERPS etc etc. After going over about 60 episodes off tutorial on youtube and reading/googling ALOT on creating social networking sites using drupal 7, modules, etc, ive figured this is clearly doable with all my ideas, BUT it seems like a ton of work! Using around 8-10 hours/day on learning drupal i hoped i could finish a pretty basic version of my site after 2 months, but know im not sure.

It would be much appreciated if you guys had some tips on how to learn fast, or where to start rly. Should i just try to create a very small community at first? Publish it and play around with it, or should i buy some of these training videos like ostraining.com?

If i had the money i would pay ppl to do this cause thats how much i belive in this idea, but i dont... And it would also be fun to learn this program cause it seems like an REALLY nice software!

Drupal can do a lot of things, but could it manage office documents in the following way :

Imagine you have

• a Drupal content type with fields and values
• a Word document with fields to be filled

Do you know if Drupal or its modules could enable users to create a new drupal content and then create and export a MS Word Document with the fields filled from this drupal content ?

Does drupal has any popup window module that works similar to http://about.me social links? If you visit any profile on about.me site and click on a user's facebook, twitter, youtube, etc link, it opens it up in a popup window.

I've been looking for a gallery which can include camera data.
A fundamental requirement is that it can load images coordinates. I use Nikon D ##.
A gallery in style with jAlbum meet my requirements.
jAlbum I have used. But there is no possibility of access to the image files that I have in Drupal with 'private' solution.
Is there really no photo gallery for Drupal that meet this requirement?

Hola a todos!! Espero tengan un mejor dia que el mio .. Resulta que hasta ahora no puedo habilitar el modulo LDAP..

Ya añadi la linea de directorio en el archivo de configuracion de php y nada..

Intente varias cosas y ninguna da siempre me sale el mismo error

No LDAP PHP Extension is loaded for PHP, so LDAP will not work properly.
