Drupal as Service Marketplace - Starting Point

Hello Drupal Community,

I'm Paul from Germany and I've just got started with Drupal.

My skills: Very basic (worked with Joomla before)

Therefore, I started to look for a Distribution, which I can learn from. Unfortunately, besides many great Distributions, I couldn't find a fitting template for my matter.

My Matter:

I want to create a 'Service Marketplace' (one common service e.g. dog walking) where people can create profiles as e.g. dog walker with experience, photo AND availability (calendar) etc. Those people can be searched by the counter-party (people looking for a dog walker) for a certain period of time and location close by. Money will be transferred to me first and after both parties confirm successful completion of a job, the money goes to the dog walker deducting a certai percentage as administrative costs and the client leaves a rating and report. (So I need a booking systeme and rating systeme) . http://dogvacay.com/ < is a great example how that might be looking like.

I tried the 'Recruiter' Distriution which is sort of a 'marketplace' but the search criteria are related to 'open jobs', not 'people search' (according to location/zip code/experience level).

My Question:

I'm really open to learn and put some effort in it. However, I think my matter might be quite advanced (I was told that several times by professionals I asked about it).

About Parent and Child files in Drupal- A Question

I used to design application systems using Foxfro and I remember it was possible to create a master table and a transaction table related to that master file. For example, you want to record the visits of patients to a clinic in a hospital, then you may create a master file that contains basic info about the patient like, name, age, address,...etc. and one should also create a transaction file to contain, his/her date of visit, type of complaints, notes of the doctor for that visit. This info of the transaction file for a patient changes from visit to visit.

Views mouseover image display rotate button

Hello,
using a view displaying a grid of images, I am trying to have it so that when you hover over an image (mouseover), a rotate icon displays which when pushed, rotates the image 90 degrees clockwise and saves the image in that position. Does anyone know of a module I can use, or some custom coding I should incorporate into a views image field? What would be the best way to achieve this?

Thank you for your help!

Commerce/Ubercart Payments only if Poster Accepts like AirBnB

I cannot seem to find a module within Commerce or Ubercart that does that, so I was wondering if anyone had ideas on how to utilize what already exists and create a module to assist. Ideally I'm looking for a solution similar to the functionality that AirBnB has where they only accept payments once the host agrees to the request. When someone wants to book an apartment on AirBnB they are requested to input all of their billing information, and then they submit their order. Nothing is charged until the host accepts the order for the specific dates.

drupal for a web directory?

For the renewing of the little Christian web directory christliche-Linksammlung.de. For this site I want to have a forward-looking software. So this software should fulfil the following requirements:
1) Links in the database have to be checked and if there is a broken link than this link has to be removed.
2) I want at least a design without tables. Better would be: A Design optimized for desktop computers as well as mobile devices.
