Hello, I have 3 friends that want to have their own news site, is it possible to create a "Group project" like Kinja with drupal?

Hello all!
I am looking at developing a multi hotels website using suitable Drupal theme. To start with, each hotel's information will be added with a Book Now button which will be a form emailed to admin of the respective hotel. No online booking is planned for the moment.

I am aware that hotel booking modules / plugins are available for Drupal. However, we are looking at a feature which allows user to book only for one day use with time bands for that day. For example, 9 am to 5 pm. This feature is similar to a venue booking, which a user can book only for a day.

I am considering remaking my current site using Drupal. Here is a dev version of my site. I'd like to know if its possible to fill additional columns in the DB when an account is created, have a character creation page that adds DB rows to a player table, create a dynamic search page for character information, and a highscore page.

I've got involved in a Beer and Cider import business in Taiwan thats currently running its website on Joomla - it just about does the job, but it could be doing a lot more. The ability to easily manage content in multiple languages, create multiple sites from one core installation, plus extensibility has led me to consider Drupal as a replacement.

I'll start by saying I know I'm a colossal moron. Drupal turned out to be way over my head, but I drilled on and started a blog on Drupal anyway.

Here's my deal:
I updated a module. I didn't backup my site. The module wasn't being developed anymore and crashed (?) my site.

There were some other huge missteps along the way after that, while I tried to fix the mistake. I'll just skip to now.
