Drupal and blogging site such as blogger.com

I'm interested in making a blogging site like blogger.com AND have the additional CMS things available. Is it possible to do this with Drupal? I've set up a sample website but can't seem to allow additional users to create blogs.....

MS-SqlServer Support

I'm looking at replacing a static intranet system with Drupal, but it also looks like I'll be required to back-end it with MS-SqlServer. From the admin docs it looks like MS-SqlServer hasn't been support since 4.4. Has anyone implemented Drupal with MS-SqlServer lately? What are the 'gotchas' that I should be looking out for?

Thanks...

Newbie here, Need Opinions

I am having a website designed at the moment. The designer is working on it and it should be done soon..the preview can be seen here http://www.nbabasketballnews.com/index2.html . As you will notice it is a NBA Site and being 30 teams in the NBA, I was looking for 1 writer per each team(in the given spot on the preview). Meaning 30 writers on 30 seperate teampages. Thats a LOT of webmastering duties and I would never be able to do that.

So that is why I am here.

Drupal or CivicSpace?

Hi everyone,

I've been looking into Drupal for a while now for two major sites and recently noticed CivicSpace. I notice that some people have asked the difference between the two and the answer seems to be in the modules available for sites. What's the main reason people choose CivicSpace over Drupal? There's a lot of modules for Drupal too :) I'd like to make the right choice - what's the big differences/advantages?

Cheers
Rachel

Amazon items for other shops

I like the idea of the "Amazon items" module. But I needn't the american bookshop. Well, I'm interesting in the other partner shops as the russian http://ozon.ru.
So, can I modify the links in this module to ozon.ru for example or this tool is only for Amazon.com?

comment control panel? similar functionality in forums?

A couple of questions re. controlling how comments re displayed:

1. whatever happened to showing the comment control panel on the drupal.org site? (does this imply that the functionality has gone away???)

2. is there a forum module that provides a similar level of control over how forum comments are viewed (i.e., threaded/unthreaded, flat/nested, expanded/subject-only, etc.)

Thanks much,

Miles Fidelman
