Hey there. I'm a newbie to the drupal system. Been playing with it for a few hours now, I like it, but now, I want to import the Mambo database into Drupal. I'm using Drupal 4.5.2 running on a Linux server. I've been searching for a way to for a good half hour now without any luck.
I'm planning on bringing a site live with Drupal in the next few weeks, and I'm in the middle of deciding b/w 4.5.2 and 4.6.
I have both versions up and running on a test site, and have been able to do just about everything I need with either version.
So, with all things more or less being equal, I'm leaning toward 4.6.
However: in the install.txt file, it says that Drupal 4.6 requires PHP 4.3.3 or greater. My web host runs 4.2.2. I have PHP 4.3.1 installed on my local test machine, and I haven't seen any issues.
I understand that the handbook only indicates how to migrate users from PHP Nuke to Drupal.. How about the rest? I'd just like to confirm that there are no other solutions out there before jumping in myself to get it done.
I've tried a few CMS's so far. Mainly Mambo and Typo3. De first I experienced as to strict and the latter as way to complex. I am looking for something 'in between'
