Like the subject says, can drupal be used to make something like penny-arcade.com, nuklearpower.com, or vgcats.com?
Basically what I need is something along the lines of CUSP (comic update script), where multiple users have the ability to easily upload images or flash files and post comments (possibly with avatars). Uploaded files should also be archived, preferably in a dropdown selection(for the love of god no thumbnails, please no thumbnails!).
Have been looking at Drupal for a while, finally decided to stop paying for the Content Management System we resell and use some good solid open source software. Anyway. I got about 5 web sites on the go at the moment, that will use drupal as its CMS. everything you have I need.... Anyway, I have a couple of questioins that I am having trouble finding content on the site for, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
Hello, I am new to the drupal community, as well as the suse linux community.
Was wondering if there are any tutorials or guides that could help me in the installation process of drupal, and to better understand how to use drupal.
Hello all,
I am a newbie in here so correct me if I am wrong.
I am considering using Drupal in my new project but when I read the system requirement
I noticed the word LOCK TABLE.
I want to confirm that if my host doesn't support LOCK TABLE will Drupal still work fine?
I want to use Drupal 4.6
I have been approached by a local non-profit school to setup an alumni section that is password protected (thinking of the captcha module for this). Can you think of any method that wouild work to keep out non-alumni members, or is it possible for someone to administer and delete users? Sorry if I'm rambling but its been a long day.
Eventually they would like to be able to accept donations (saw the module). Eventually the entire school's site will be incorporated.
I have a client that is looking for a web site for their business. They have an IIS server and MSSQL. They can install PHP on the system no problem. They are not however willing to install MySQL. Does anyone have Drupal running on this type of system. I wish they would just use a LAMP or WAMP but you can't change everyone.
