multisite 2 domains - create first account problem/question

I've got a nicely running install of drupal cvs running. I have a hosting account with multiple domains which all exist in seperate sub-folders in the same root folder. I followed the install text and create a secondary sub folder in 'sites'.

Then I redirected my second domain to the same folder as the drupal install.

Drupal Vs. BlackBaud's NetCommunity -- Functionality Vs. Integration

Drupalers,

We use Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge for Fundraising. The fundraising folk in our org point to the potential benefits of integration with Blackbaud's NetCommunity CMS.

I'm in charge of the web and I'm more interested in taking our web site into the land of interactivity. I'm impressed with the built-in commenting and other features/modules that Drupal offers.

Fundraising is one goal of the web site. But the web site is ultimately about serving our constituents so that they will want to give. We also have a small press and we'd like to sell the books online.

checkmail.module download 4.7.0 - file not found.

On the module page http://drupal.org/project/checkmail
the link to download the latest 4.7.0 tar (http://drupal.org/files/projects/checkmail-4.7.0.tar.gz) isn't working.

I am new to Drupal and am trying to get to grips with the way the site works, is there anything I am doing wrong?

custom type of comment

Hi there.
I like to allow users in my site to post custom type of comment, with few checkboxes and so.
I s there a way to expend the comment module from other or new model, or whether I should hack the comment module it self.
The thing is I might want to use in again in my site for regular comments.
tnx.

Would Drupal work for my site?

I am attempting to develop a new online art based community. Something similar to www.deviantart.com, but we want to implement a few features that deviant art is lacking at the moment. This project is actually a thesis project for me and a buddy...and just need something small, but would love to see it grow into something big.

Our main needs at the time are:

-We need people to be able to register an account on the site automatically, similar to Drupals forum registration...where the user can click register, fill in their information...and have some type of confirmation email sent to their email address.

-We need for each user to have their own individual page...again similar to deviantart.com or myspace.com where they can have a bio about themselves, a gallery (We we also need some way for them to upload their files), maybe a blog, a friends list, and a favorites list. And any other various things that would be good for a users personal page.

-Like I said above we would need the user to be able to upload their content. And each peice would need to be on a seperate page, with some type of response system under it, where people can give opinions or suggestions.

-An "In-Site" Search engine.

-A forum.

These are just the main things I can think of right now, Im sure there are a few more but these are the most important...if anyone can tell me if drupal would work for this type of site. Please let me know, any help/info would be greatly appreciated!
