i'm currently an iOS, Javascript developer. I'm not expert level... I would say i'm intermediate level.
I'm now going to develop web sites (not web apps) and i'm exploring various solutions.

Hi I am new to drupal world But i am eager to learn drupal. I want to built an website like below.
I have few expand and collapsible node on click on these node text i can able open a new url.
Here the below thing currently i am doing using mySQL DB,PHP,Java script framework D3.js.
here maintaining a parent child relationship in a table in mySQL DB.Then fetching the data from table(parent,child,node text url) using PHP code then formatted it to JSON then using java script D3 JS framework i am displaying this.

We're seriously considering moving our NEWS section of the site to Drupal and only this new site to different host. Questions, concerns we've:

-- We don’t need the drupal search engine because we use something else. How drupal can use existing search engine? Speaking of which, I guess before we go ahead and do this, we’ll need to understand how the search engine will index the site not hosted at current host.

Hi All,
We're playing with an idea of moving NEWS section of our site to DRUPAL. This section of the site will be moved to subdomain(ie news.example.com) and to a different host. Questions, concerns are as follows and would greatly affect our decision to move forward. Thanks in advance.

-- Best way to redirect specific pages. If we change the URL structure, then we’ll break the links. I’m assuming we won't create a 301 redirect for each specific link. how we can use the same URL structure in Drupal?

we are currently looking into CMS alternatives for the near to mid future with a very strong focus on easy content authoring / editing.

We pretty much like the editor weblication ships with, is something this flexible possible with Drupal when using Panels?
