Question about Drupal solution for web hosting business.

Hi there,

I have a web hosting business.
Currently I have 20 customers, the business management is made by excel files.

I would like to upgrade my services, I worked once with drupal and liked it very much, so I think a drupal solution will feet best my needs.

Before I'll continue with the installation I have some questions about modules and features:

With Drupal, can I control forum access via paid subscriptions?

A complete N00B here. I am using a discussion forum type software now, but I need some of the additional features like are offered by Drupal (authoring, bookmarks etc)

The main think I have to be able to do is to control forum access via subscription. With Drupal will I be able to use a group permissions scheme to control access to forums based on a person's subscriptions.

One site, two areas (private and public).

Hey guys :)

I'm new to the scene, I have Drupal for a couple of days only and im testing it on my personal server to get to know how it works, the themes, etc.

Here's what im trying to do, please tell me if i'll be able to do it with Drupal and what modules i may need.

Categories
=======
I need two categories, one is Dogs and the other is Cats.

1) The Dogs category is public, everyone can read its content (regular news stories composed by Title and Body fields only).

Is it right for me? Site with major sections, strict content control and other misc questions!

Hello folks. I come to you a bit desperate and in hopes that Drupal will solve my problems. I have two seperate needs from this software and I hope you can tell me if it is possible and if so... exactly how I may go about achieving it:

session.save_handler = files ?

My webhost has session.save_handler = files.

Will drupal work on this ?

Search problems

Hi,

I have the 'Search form' block enabled on my site, but it doesn't work. It doesn't search for the entered text but instead always redirects to a new search page. Entering the same text in the search form on this page produce the correct result.

Why doesn't the first search produce results?

The index status is 100%.

Try searching on my site to observe the problem: www.lostmonkey.dk

Thanks,
Mikkel
