articles under multipule categories

I have some questions. I am trying to create a review site for loyalty cards where i can first add the different loyalty cards along with a brief description of the card etc.

There are loyalty cards which fall under multiple categories can / how I include the same article/ card description in multiple categories?

Can my visitors leave comments on the different cards so that like in a blog the users comments come bellow the article on the cards?

Is drupal SEO friendly?

Can someone also tell me if godaddy shared hosting supports drupal installation?

MyBB + Rupal = ?

Hello,

I'm currently interested in starting a news website that runs on Drupal. I also want to have a message board for my users to interact on. My question is, is there current a 'plugin' that I can download, which will allow MyBB and Drupal to 'share' databases? Simply put, I don't want my users to have to register twice.

There is such a plugin for vBulletin known as vb_drupal, but I personally do not like vBulletin.

If anyone as any kind of information on this matter, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Jordan Meeter

Single signon using centralized user database accross multiple sites/databases

I am wondering if it is possible to centralize the users table and create a single sign in accross multiple sites. Please consider the following scenario:

www.domain.com - using www_domain_com database, this is the marketting site, one administrative user is required to update the site content, visitors to this site should be able to register an account in the central user table, and ideally would ideally be automatically redirected to a satellite site if they attempt to login through this site.

Need suggestions on Dupral tutorial, modules, and other key practices

Let me know if you have any insight or suggestions for a general Dupral installation. Today, I signed up with Hostgator hosting. Their control panel has fantastico scripts, so Dupral installation should be straight forward. Let me know if I should make any additional considerations; or manually install it. In addition, I am looking for suggestions on Dupral tutorial, modules, and other key practices.

I would like the follow features for my site.

Photogallery
It should have multiple galleries accessible through a public and private area; family, friends, and business colleagues.

Wiki
The site will have a tutorial area for updating howto content. A wiki module may serve this purpose if I could have a HTML and “wiki word” version. In other words, I want an offline version of all wiki document in a universal format like HTML or Word document. I will constantly be removing and replacing content and need an offline storage format. A script that converts it from wiki format to HTML would help.

Web chat
It should have a who’s online feature with a basic chat function, which you could turn on or off.

Resume/CV
My site needs a file download area, which is public and private. I don’t want everybody downloading personal info.

Web Development
I need advice on a web development platform for testing new modules and updating themes offline. Currently, Windows XP remains my main working environment, yet I do use Linux. In the past, I have used Foxserv for installing Apache and basic server environment, but it was cumbersome and complicated.

Can Drupal Do This?

I am looking to start a site like createblog.com. Can Drupal make the same structure of the site? Everything is in categories and than when you click one it has a page full of thumbnails. When you click the thumbnails every graphic and layout has its own page with different 'blocks' of information aswell as the code. Can a site like this be done with Drupal? Thanks.

Community website that needs business directory and advertising space - Drupal suitable?

Hi there,

I need to setup a free website for a community. One of the features of this website is to be able to have a business directory.

Therefore members of the community (members have to be approved first) can get a log in to input their own details about the business.

Users of the community website can then search the community site to find services that match their needs.

Generally there would also be the need to have a diary of community events and be able to view newsletters etc. Also we need some facility to allow for advertising (e.g. banners) to go in on the webspace and for this advertising to be easily adminsistered by completey non technical people.

Many of the pages do not need the viewers to be able to add content. Only the non technical administrators should be able to update the website. Their might be a specific forum where members can contribute and certain pages where visitors will be invited to comment.

I can see that Drupal will cover some of these aspects easily, but so far have found it difficult to get going quickly and cannot see how the business directory would work.

Should I persevere with Drupal in the context. As I am doing this work for free to someone, I did not really want to have to spend months learning how to do it.
I tried customising a page a few months ago but gave up finding it far too difficult. Since then I have got a bit better with CSS and may try again.
