I have to build a site containing many pages with comments - articles, news, forum discussions etc. I've played with several Drupal node types trying to understand what suits me better.
As far as I understand, "story" and "page" are almost the same types. The "forum topic" differs from them, and I like it much better.
Can I build my site using "forum topics" only? I mean treating static pages with comments like forum topics.
I was just curious what everyone recommends. I have used eCommerce, but not Ubercart. A few people have told me Ubercart is gaining much momentum. What pros/cons do you have for each. What applications would I choose one over the other, etc.
I'm looking to start using Drupal as the base for a larger site. I know I will be doing a lot of customization, but I'm willing to do some work. I was curious how I could only allow a user to create a single page. A long with that, I want to know how I can have a user create that page, and have it be a plain HTML page with no sidebar, or any of the template from the homepage. Thanks in advance for your help.
I have been asked to convert the website of an NGO into a Drupal CMS site. They are currently using the static html approach. Their host uses Fantastico for launching Drupal pages as does mine.
What I want to know is the following: Can I slowly build and construct their Drupal site at say http://www.site.com/drupal whilst they are still using http://www.site.com and then when I am ready, move the /drupal down to root domain?
Hello all. I am new to Drupal, having only learned of it a few days ago. I have a vision for my website, and I was wondering if Drupal can do what I imagine.
