We're looking to build a site that has a main navigation with several options. Depending upon which option is selected a different sub navigation appears. Using Drupal can I set administrators that are only allowed to edit the contents of specific pages and a specific sub navigation but not the main navigation?
I have an application in mind that would be to create a sortable database. The database, like Ebay's, would display as rows that could be sorted on fields such as "Price" and "Average Rating."
As part of this work, I would also like to keep track of the authors, for the purpose of paying royalties. For this, Drupal would need to create a separate database showing who authored each database entry and when.
Does Drupal and its modules support these functions? I could not tell by reading about the modules.
been browsing around here for quite some time now, been fiddling about with Drupal a little bit, but I run into a wall named PHP. I'm a big PHP n00b with great ambitions to launch successful local community site, a bit equal to Tumblr.com. So I want people to register, create contents (that's obvious, so far so good), give registered members a subdomain on-the-fly, create statistical pages etc etc etc.
I know I'll probably never succeed without getting to know some proper PHP, but my real question is:
I'm building a site that allows users to search a database of items by a variety of different factors. Basically, users can create a scenario of their needs and then the search engine spits out a list of records from the database that match the user's requirements. However, the twist is that the database of items is basically a structured wiki, with each item able to be editing (description, pictures, other custom fields) by users, including anonymous users.
I'm a bit new to RSS (ingoing).
I think the way it could work for us is to have an editor selecting what to display on the site (and newsletter)
from a large number of "candidates".
Any Drupal modules that will let us do this?
Can i somehow pipe the feeds through 3d party service/applications?
