Perspectives of a Drupal newbie on the heart of DrupalCon

I am a social observer, change agent and community facilitator in the process of developing an on-line enterprise, using Drupal. Imagine my delight when the free, open DrupalCon landed in Vancouver in time to expand my understanding of the technology. The technology field, rarely portrayed as socially adroit, seemed an unlikely source for lessons about community development but that is what I got as techno-stereotypes were blown out of the water at DrupalCon 2006, Vancouver. The Drupal Community is special and deserves celebrating.

in interenet explorer the burning guitar at the right is showing at the top of the page and when i scroll down it dissapears

why does it show at the top of the page - in firefox that is not happening

can somoone tell me why

i set the background as body because i wanted to be alignned totally to the right botoom corner with no spacing from the edge

Drupal mentorship

Following on the Vancouver conference, where there was a focus on how do we get new Drupal developers up and running, I'm musing on the idea a semi-formalized mentorship system--Drupal Mentors.

Is there any way to show adsense on every page. I meen by only page. Not the comments or by blocks. I tried editing the page.tpl file but the ads show up on the teaser which becomes a little ugly. I like to show the ads only after the link have been click.

50000 posts??? Wow!!!

Just a massive thanks to Dries and all other developers for bringing Drupal.org so far. There are 50000 posts on this site now. That's huge. I remember when I made the 33333th post. So many, so quickly.

Lets just hope 4.7 comes out soon! I can't wait.
