Question: (from http://drupal.org/node/49646 )

Hello everyone,
I am trainee in a French IT firm, and my job is to migrate the firm's Intranet on Drupal.
As my work has just started, I was wondering if it was better to start working on 4.6.5, and dealing with updgrade "problems" after, or to start directly with 4.7 beta 4, even if it is a beta, and to upgrade it to 4.7 RC1 when it is released, hoping it won't be released to late?
I ask this question for two reasons:

if I choose to start with 4.6.5, maybe I will have some problems to migrate my database, and to upgrade my modules but,
if I choose 4.7 beta 4, I may have some problems/bugs on a production website, and I may wait the RC1 for an undefined time...
I would like to have your opinion on this subject, as the migration has to be functional quick, and I don't want to do the same work twice... ;)

Thank you in advance for your answers,

Sto

IMHO I made no disceranable complaint in the one line answer, it is plain and simple true statement of the way things are at present.

Missing links?

I have run a spider simulator (http://www.searchengineworld.com/cgi-bin/sim_spider.cgi) on my sites and am shocked to see that most of my links are not showing up. Why would links in the footer section, or even in the body not show up?

Thanks,

Moving ahead

Since I am a new user, I'll come right out and ask this. Why are the core developers moving ahead so fast? we are mid-way to a new Drupal, 4.7 when 4.6.5 still seems to have major work to be done. I know that as humans we all like to build the next cool thing rather than stick to fixing the existing issues but.. that's what project management is about, completing one task to 101% before you move on.

I note that as recently as the 19th(yesterday) 4.6.5 was still getting patched for fairly serious usability issues.

Thanks,

Aggregator 2 for 4.7?

The aggregator2 module has been great on my site using 4.6. Does anyone know if this will be coming out for 4.7?

Thanks

Should I regret starting out with Drupal v4.7 beta???

Hi Guys,

Im a recent user of Drupal. While I really like it, I am finding that most of the modules I require for my site are not yet upgraded to work under v4.7. Things like the Audio/ Playlist modules, Form, Survey Modules, and loads of others I have tried but not yet working with v4.7. Should I hang in there OR boldly downgrade to v4.6 for the moment? this based on it will probably take a while yet for alot of the modules to go 4.7. Am I being too pesimistic? What are the thoughts of those more experienced?

Reservation based on date and time on a product

Hello guys:

keep up the good work, I love drupal and the things you can do with it. However, I am lost right now on what module to use for a product reservation/booking based on date and time. Let me explain:

I belong to a flying club which has about 4 aircrafts.

I want to be able to pick an aircraft and book it for a specific date and time and if some other club member trys to book the same aircraft for the same date and his time overlaps the already reserved time. I want the module to generate an error and explain that it cannot be done.
