I have two websites using one database. Schema of the database is modified (new tables and new columns in Drupal tables). The first one is Drupal instance. The second website is not based on Drupal, it is based on different framework. Both websites are using the same database and can't work without it. My questions are:
Can be licence of the second (non-Drupal) website code different from GNU/GPL?
Can be licence of the database schema different from GNU/GPL?
I've recently agreed to help out at a fantastic London-based charity and our first step is for me to help them get their website in order. Their main objectives are to get the site looking a LOT better, activate a blog on the site to enable them to make updates, add some simple linking to various social media and get to a stage where relative technophobes can at least add a blog post. I am a developer by day and even when I look in I find it a little overwhelming so no wonder these guys are struggling.
They currently have a site built on top of a Drupal 6 installation hosted on something like Go Daddy. It's very simple right now, mostly just static pages but is in a bit of a state. You can view it here :
They have also experienced some hacking problems, i found about a 100 dodgy accounts which I've managed to delete but they've managed to install some of their own spammy document types which I'm yet to find a way to delete.
