I'm looking for the best theme for developing a simplistic photography website. My first requirement is being able to post large photos on the home page. I know there are modules for this, but I'd like to know if anyone is using a particular theme that is designed for photography.
Hi there. I am new to Drupal and content management. I am about to create my first website right now. I tried the big CMS's and feel pretty happy with Drupal so far :)
My problem: I want to embed another CMS called cutenews. The regular code is:
<?PHP include("cutenews/show_news.php"); ?>
But when I enter the link to my cutenews script I get this error message:
CuteNews has detected that you are including show_news.php using the URL to this file.
This is incorrect and you must include it using the PATH to show_news.php
I have had www.colombia.dk since sometime in 2003. It started with a selfprogrammed site but I quickly changed to Mambo and when the Mambo'ers started fighting I went with the Joomla branch.
I tried a lot of CMS systems at the time and found that Mambo had the easiest learning curve for me at the time and installed that. I have used that now for the past about 6 years.
From what I read it sounded as if it were in it's own block or something but could not find it. I think it was a bad idea to remove it. Having site name, site slogan and mission in one place is like cherries on a cake, sweet and convenient.
Sorry if this is the complete newbie-question, but I'm really excited about Drupal and we're migrating some of our Joomla-based sites to Drupal as soon as we learn enough :)
We run an evenplanning site, so our users add stuff like name, event type, event date, event info in their userprofiles.
As we like to encourage the users to start their own, personal "event planning blog" at our site, we'd like to help the users by making the first post automatically.
I just want to know before I spend too much time learning Drupal.
The books I have seen seem to concentrate on using the tools but not on how to integrate existing php sites that are data centric. (Web Applications).
If this is not designed to manage those kind of sites it doesn't meet my needs. If it can manage web application sites perhaps someone can recommend a book to guide me in my quest.
