Drupal integration with NetBeans vs. Eclipse

I am a Drupal Newbie tying to compare doing Drupal development with NetBeans vs. Eclipse. I understand there are Drupal integration modules for both. Does anyone have experience using either of these IDEs with integration for Drupal? Has anyone compared recent versions of these?

Which modules should one use with each for integration with Drupal and what does that give you?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Which module supplies the 'Style Editor' as seen on Drupal Gardens?

I have recently signed up to beta test Drupal Gardens. I must admit I am incredibly impressed with the design.
The only problem is that it is too expensive for what I use Drupal for. I use Drupal for a lot of smaller short term projects where I expect many people to be signing up.

I would really like to start custom theming some of my sites on a server that I rent, but I don't have the coding know how.
Does anyone know what module that Drupal Gardens uses for that fancy WYSIWYG style editor?

Drupal 7 Alpha Theme Installation Problems

Hi,

I am playing around with Drupal 7, find it very good so far, but I am unable to install new themes, both when copying the files manually or when downloading directly from the server.

I think it is a file permissions error, but I am not sure, and not 100% sure how to fix it.

While installing, the process goes until the step that says "Authorize file permissions" and then stops. After that, I get a lot of errors in an orange block.

How Facebook became 2x faster, could this be implemented in Drupal ?

SUGGESTION: Integrating maintainer donation framework into Drupal.org and drupal core

Central question: Has there been any push behind making developer compensation more central to the drupal community, and not an afterthought incorporated on an individual basis (usually with ad-hoc solutions or embedded "Donate" buttons, if at all)?

Forum topic: Selling Drupal Mods? Can I?

I was reading through the above thread, and GPL licenses came up in regards to what they allow, and what they don't, and how Joomla is/was friendlier to developers by not being as "hardcore" GPL. Basically, people were saying that it was more in the Joomla culture to charge for modules, and so it was easier to be a Joomla developer. Eventually, people were talking about how it's difficult to honour the license (and true open-source spirit) and still make a living doing development.

I've dropped in on a few local Drupal Developer meetups in Toronto, and as great as the community is, there does seem to be a quasi-cynical undercurrent that says "Drupal is GREAT! Buuuuut... don't count on being able to live off of it."
