Questions about blocks, content moving and settings

Is there a way to make my admin panel look different from the site? I don't want the user login to show up on the site. And for the navigation i just want the pages. I would want a separate page where you can login that normal users won't see. Also is there away to remove the blog from the main page and move it to another page? I want the main page to be just the pre-written content and the dynamic blog like content on another page.

user content/comments not public

All content created by the Admin is viewable publicly on our drupal website. Any item either a comment or new content is not viewed by the public. Permissions have been checked for the authenticated user to post, edit, create. As admin, I can see authenticated users content/comments. As Authenticated users once logged in they can view all content. But to any one publicly can not see authenticated users content, only content put by admin.

What is missing?

Help is greatly appreciated!!!

Create very very simple drupal module

Hi, I'd like to create a module which simply injects 4 lines into the output and have that module available for free to clubs etc that use drupal. It is for my free sports website www.onesportevent.com

in the zip is a file "example1 - simple.htm" which shows the four lines and where they go.

Slideshow on homepage messed up

New at forum. I'm a volunteer for a nonprofit. Got a little training for Drupal from host provider but that's all. Been adding content, menu title changes, url links, image uploads...the small stuff. Tried to edit the homepage slideshow and messed it up. Wish we had more $s to have our host provider do the work, but can't right now. So, as the designated volunteer, they suggested I open up a forum account. I don't even know what Drupal version we have. I assume the latest. So, here I am.

How do I turn off the lightboxes in Admin?

I installed the Drupal 7 but how do I turn off the gray lightbox or shadowboxes in Admin?
These are irritating. Cannot Drupal have just a clean interface like cpanel or anyother software ?

Is it possible have the sidebar Menu only ?
