I am just a beginner here but have managed to install drupal running on xampp on my home PC. When I was filling out the site information part of the install in Configure Site section, it requires a site email address for notifications, password changes etc. I have no idea what to put in this. I'm just working at home on my PC. How do I set things up so that my home PC is capable of sending and recieving emails? Is there a step by step guide somewhere. Please remember that i'm a beginner here so as simple as possible would be appreciated.

This is my problem:
If I e.g. create a Panel and select to "Add content", then "New Custom Content", an AJAX overlay is loaded but there is no text area or anything to enter any content on this "Configure new New custom content" page.

I'm developing a module which has a form that displays data previously entered by users. Now, i need to sanitize text before i display it in various textfields. However, I realise that the & characters is translated into &amp. It doesn't look very good, and the users who have started to use the module is very confused about why strange text suddenly appears.

Any ideas as to how I can get around this?

Hi, can someone tell me aproximately how long it will take me to set up a drupal site with ubercart if I have experience with drupal but not with ubercart. I will buy a theme and use it unmodified. How many hours about will the installation take ?
