Hosting

I built my site with dreamweaver but now I am learning Drupal and would like use it on line. Is there a way to upload the work I have done on Drupal on my computer using apache to my host with out using a domain name. When the site is done I will upload it to my domain name but for now I just want to learn and experiment around but do it on line instead of on my computer.

Thanks
Rocky

Drupal 7 i18n

It looks like i18n for Drupal 7 is still in alpha (http://drupal.org/project/i18n). Is it working at all? I made a few tests and it didn't at all, and before putting any more time on the project I want to know other people's experiences.

Content question

I have five different Content types in structure (blog, basic page, article, book page and Forum Topic) but when I go to Add Content only two show up (Article, Book Page).
What am I missing here?
Thanks.

How to remove Read more on front page (Drupal 7)

Hi,
I just upgrade the site I am working on to Drupal 7. Love the new Modules features.

Can anyone tell me how to remove 'Read more' on the front page (home page) and display the whole page??
I have already install frontpage modules and variablesAPI. I look at every items in configuration and couldn't find a way.

Drupal 7 as an Enterprise CMS for a Higher Education Institution

After many hours of prototyping, testing, and other research, I've drafted this white paper to organize my thoughts on Drupal 7 as an enterprise CMS for a higher education institution.

Please let me know what you think. Is it accurate? Did I miss anything?

A Few Questions

Hello all,

Me and one more Web Developer are in charge of creating a easy-to-use database that will incorporate 6 sites under one CMS and so that anyone may be trained to update the sites easily once the set-up of the site is finished and the back-end polished. So, instead of reinventing the wheel, we decided to use Drupal to get the CMS portion of it done and that way we can work more on functionality of applying data and aesthetics of the site.
