Easy find a Module...

Why didn´t Drupal.org integrate an easyer way to find modules easier?

Perhaps you can integrate "community tags". Then we all can put our own tags to the modules.

I think that the taxonomy of the listet modules is not realy clear for beginners. Also I didn´t can see which module is a new module.

Sorry for my bad english.

Drupal.org isn't validating correctly

One on of the many Drupal vs Joomla debates on the web, it was brought up that Drupal.org isn't properly validating. Apparently this is losing Drupal some "street cred" -- even though it is obviously the superior CMS ;)

A new project release isn't showing up.

We have released nb 5.x-2.3 and it is not showing up. The tags are correct via cvs, and when we added a release via project page then we got the typical message of something like "new releases will not be shown until cron has been run...5 minute wait, etc."

But it's more than 8 hours.

Have we done something wrong? I think we've been doing the same thing as we have done before where we successfully released up to 2.2.

Help please.

Categorize blog entries

i just installed drupal and i m going to build a site to let my users to have their own blogs. but i see the blog module is so primitive that i know i have to configure it myself.

what should i do if i want to define a set of categories so my users can post a new blog entry and put it into a certain category?
