Drupal 6.x

Hi Everyone,

Here's my installation environment:
- Drupal 6.0
- Wamp5 server
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003
- Windows Explorer

After saving the database setting, the installation starts, but the progress bar for the installation doesn't show any progress.
Then I refresh the page twice, the progress bar is now full(100%) with the message "Initializing" and it stops right there.
So I'm not being able to reach the "Configure Site" step where I set an administrator account and end up without one.

I have just installed drupal 6 on a fasthosts linux account and cannot generate clean urls. In admin it says it is not supported yet fasthosts.co.uk say it is. I have tried adding an .htaccess file to the root directory but this doesn't have any effect. The code used is this, but I am a total newbie so it could be wrong:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule (.*)-(.*)/(.*)\.html index.php?app=$1&ns=$2&ref=$3 [L,PT]

Would appreciate any help on this!

Drupal are not able to send mail and display an error message.
Somebody can help me please?
To start where are the mail and smtp parameter save? What file? ...

Just started with Drupal a few days ago. Loving it!

I kicked off with 6 from the get go and I am trying to create menus for logged in users and I saw a reference to "Menu per Role" module but I see it is only available for 5.x

Anyway of achieving this in 6.x ?

I am wondering if the behavior of my drupal installation, to not show the images in the text posts that i place in path mysite/drupal/sites/default/files/images/picture.jpg even when i place them in mysite/drupal/sites/./. and only show the images when they are out of .././sites directory for example mysite/drupal/images/picture.jpg, it is a normal behavior. If not, what could be go wrong in my installation, wy i cant see that images when they are in /sites/......... path?

I'm quite new to Drupal so please excuse any ignorance :)

I have some Pages on my site that act as "sub sections" and are added as a primary links. When I create a story and specify that is a menu item beneath my sub section (Page) it appears as a sub item in the primary links menu (for me, shown in the side panel). I would like these stories to be added to the Page which they are linked under as a teaser, just as stories appear on the front page.

Can this be done?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
