"user"- login / "user" - my account

hi,

I can't get this clear.

1 - new user
user likes to create a new account
I use 'user' in a secondary menu, title 'Login'

2 - existing user, already logged in
user likes to alter his or her accounting info
This is done with 'user' again, but the 'Login' text looks a bit weird in this case, because the user already IS logged on.

converting phpbb3 (plus users) to drupal forums

Has anyone had success in converting phpbb3 forums, including the users, over to the in-board drupal forums? I think I would like to bring all of my forums into drupal. Thanks!

why can't aggregator request local URl path (like category/x/feed etc versus http)

hi. i'm a bit of rube when it comes to this, but i'm wondering why i have to enter a full url for an aggregator feed if the path is a local feed within the drupal install (like a category of articles specific to a subject, like 'sports' or 'arts')

i know that http requests are required for network services like openid, but would it be possible for drupal to serve local feeds locally so that an admin simply enters the local path (or %site/path)?

Sloppy 1&1

Hello,

I've had some problems in upgrading from 5.7 to 6 because 1&1 didn't upgrade MySQL on older DBs.

see Mysql warnings: SELECT vid , duplicate key, etc

So they tell me to create a new DB and migrate my data into it?

Do you know how to do that? Do you need to export then import your old BD thruough PHPMyAdmin?

Not very convenient, I'm afraid.
