I want to take input through form and want to save those values in database.which function should i use and how? plz help...

i would like to do an protest-mailer for our website. you just fill in your name and your email adress, change the default message and click send. after that you get an email with an confirmation-link and when it's clicked, the email is send.
does anyone know a module, which has this function.

I installed both version of drupal advanced forum in my localhost. I found out that v6 of drupal has better interface which look alike to those forums like forumw.org and projectw.org. I hope there will be some updates on drupal 5 to make it into something like drupal 6. Hope to get great modules from you guys.

After hearing Dries' keynote and subsequent discussions with module developers/maintainers, I'm (and I'm supported by many others who I heard talking about it) starting to think that 1 release per year (which I myself voted for...before I started on a module) may not be ideal.

Dries mentioned that they ran out of time when developing Drupal 6, and despite the 7 month code freeze, the majority of modules have not been ported to 6 yet. Some modules for 5 are still in early stages (pre-beta in some cases - like Ubercart!!) and tired and over-worked maintainers have to try to fix bugs in 5, then try to port to 6...and 7 is already on the horizon.

With the grand plans for ver. 7 (and I'm sure future versions), it's probable that some modules will need a major re-write, which would only add to the work.

My Host site does an auto-install of Gallery2. The install is clean and the gallery stand alone functions work fine. However, I can not get it integrated into Drupal. When I use the Drupal Gallery options
when I provide the absoulate URL of the gallery and the public url for it, it fails:

Everything seemed OK, but the Gallery could still not be initialised. Perhaps a manually entered value is incorrect.

I've been looking around the modules repositories, and it doesn't seem like there are currently any modules that allow direct uploading to Amazon S3 asides from some video uploading modules. My site will be hosting a slew of content types, all of which I would like to be uploaded to Amazon S3 rather than on my own server.

Are there any modules that already support this function? I have seen some API's that seem to be in development, but no specific module just yet.
