Boston Indymedia (http://boston.indymedia.org/) is looking for a developer(s) to help us finish a Drupal site. We are an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization and can't afford to pay, but we're hoping to entice you with an interest to making a difference and challenging corporate media.

The Independent Media Center is a network of collectively run media outlets for the creation of radical, accurate, and passionate tellings of the truth. The Independent Media Center (www.indymedia.org), was established by various independent and alternative media organizations and activists in 1999 for the purpose of providing grassroots coverage of the World Trade Organization (WTO) protests in Seattle. The center acted as a clearinghouse of information for journalists, and provided up-to-the-minute reports, photos, audio and video footage through its website.

I want to change web host but my new host keeps databases on separate servers. How do U set Drupl to work in such a situatiom?

Hi all. I need to have some specific functionality to my Drupal 6.1 driven teaching/lessons website, I am developing.

I know basic PHP (I'm actively learning daily). I am reasonably versed in HTML/CSS/MySQL, oh and I have spent 6 weeks playing with Drupal and so I now understand the relationships between page, theme, block, module etc.

I just need to know, before I start allocating large chunks of time to learning how to code modules etc and the Drupal API, can I add my own MySQL tables to the database with relationships to the Drupal core tables, to extend functionality?

All: My company is looking to re-launch some of its content based features on our site using a CMS based on the Drupal platform. We are a Portland Oregon based company and would prefer to have consultants working locally. If you are interested or know somebody who is, please reply to this posts with example projects and available start dates.
