Installing Drupal

hi,
i want to install the hyperlocalnews profile of drupal but i got this kind of message errror "Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 300 seconds exceeded in C:\wamp\www\drupal-news\includes\file.inc on line 931". like you can see i already increase the max execution time to 300 but the problem still continue and i have the same problem with openmedia profile.
i have find in the forum and i can't see any solution, please help!!

Hi i read in the user guide that extra modules apart from the core modules have to be installed at /sites/all/modules/directory

my hosting is set up as so home/philseo/public_html/modules/directory

is this correct if i install additional modules in the directory will the marry up with the program.

I've been trying to install drupal 7 beta 2 for 2 days - I only get a blank page

the server is a 1&1 Virtual-Server XL
openSUSE 10.3 mit Plesk 9 (64 Bit)
mysql - 5.0.45
php - 5.2.6
PDO is enabled (PDO drivers - mysql)
PDO Driver for MySQL, client library version 5.0.45

drupal 6 installs no problem

but when I install drupal 7 I only get a blank page
- my browser activity says theres an internal server error

Hi All

Suppose you've developed a drupal site with the usual 'Lorem ipsum...' content.
(I'm talking here about configuration only and adding test content)

How would you go from your development/test environment to live ? Do you have to delete all content manually and copy your database to the live environment ?

It would be nice to be able to dump all configuration (not content) and use that to bootstrap a new installation?!

Problem fixed, sorry for the spam.

I have installed drupal on a windows machine at the site login my user name and password is rejected or invalid. When I tell it to reset and send e-mail no e-mail arrives with new user name or password. How do I reset in a manner that I would know this infor and be able to login?
