Avatar will not show in advanced forum

I am working on a social community, and have installed among otherthings, advanced profile kit, advanced forum, author pane, ImageMagick and imageCache, - I am guessing the problem is among theses modules.

The avatars is working fine all over the site, except in the advanced forum. All I get inthere is a white shape like the avatar, and a red cross.

In ImageCashe I sometimes get this message: user error: ImageMagick reported error code 9. in /home/(my site)/modules/imageapi/imageapi_imagemagick.module on line 227.

Hope someone can help me work this out?

Performance issue Local host

After this just loading the module page takes 45 secounds and if I try to update active modules I get timeout or strange error massages from MySQL server likely some timeout problem there also. I quess I have to tune some performance variable on my server, as an novice I appriciate help on this task.

username showing when logged in?

I am a old school web designer migrating to Drupal slowly. I was introduced to Drupal by a friend who is a programmer who uses PHP Java Javascript Jquery ect. He advised me not to develop my clients websites, via the internet via my hosting package on the server in real time?

Instead he said get a stand alone machine (dev box) just for developing on not connected to the internet at all. Then arm it with all the modules - themes depending on type of project - developers tools - and even possibly set it up to run Linux. Then develop and test until happy, then move the site to host server?

Question: Is he correct I guess so, he hard core programmer with years of experience.

I am currently reading Front End Drupal: Designing, Theming, Scripting By: Emma Jane Hogbin; Konstantin Käfer. Installed Drupal 6.1.9 it a came with my hosting package, and have loads of video tutorials still to watch, Watched some Drupal con 2009

Installed modules: cck / date / devel / filefield / glossify / google_analytics / nice_menus / rotor / seo_checker / seo_checklist / seowatcher / ubercart / views / webform
Installed starter Themes: zen / blueprint / clean / framework

When I log in using username: password the user name is visible just above the blank username: box?

LibreOffice Drupal Website

LibreOffice, for those who are not aware, is an evolution of OpenOffice.org a free and open source office productivity suite, much like Microsoft word, excel and powerpoint. OpenOffice was open code which was owned by Oracle whom was hindering the further development due to lack of interest in the product. LibreOffice is currently a re-branding of OpenOffice, however with the new open community contributing, development will accelerate and it will become a first class office suite.

The community has decided that Drupal will eventually become the CMS driving the community website. A temporary solution is being developed for the interim. In installing and configuring Drupal we now have a great team of around 15 people working on different aspects of the site. I did have some questions regarding functionality and design which we need to address for the development.

1. LibreOffice is very multilingual, we have the i18n module installed for drupal node translations however after installing 64 of the 100 or so languages that are supported by LibreOffice an error message occurs stating that i18n can only handle up to 64 languages. Is there any way to overcome this? And if so is there any concequence to the site performance?

2. We are planning a "Downloads" section which will contain a node type with the following structure example:
