Installing Drupal

hi there,
I'm a drupal beginner and recently switched to drupal from wordpress.
it's for first I want to install drupal on a server, I've just been trying out local drupal before.
I uploaded drupal core .zip file on a sub-domain, and I got three errors while installing in Requirements page:
1. PHP extensions Disabled
2. Database support Disabled
3. Unicode library Error

Hi everyone. I know this topic has been discussed before, but I am totally new to all of this and have been somewhat baffled by the various solutions people have tried.

I installed Drupal using Hostgator's quick install, was able to get to the login screen, input password, apparently login, and then anywhere else I try to go I get the "access denied, you are not authorized to access this page."

Can anyone please help with this? Like I said, I'm totally new and generally have no idea how any of this works.

I cannot connect to a database from a customer who has his own hosting company.
The site is on one server, the database on another.
I checked the settings.php page and username, password, database name and host are all correct (as the hosting company gave me).

$db_url = 'mysql://user:pswd@www.domain.biz/dbname';

I Have been trying to get around this for 2 day's now. I would like user to have "blogs" with out going to the front page. I have Drupal in my root dir. so my site is just Drupal.

So what i'am trying to do is.

New-user Make blog~post.
And dont go to front page,
