We are running only one site, so in the "sites" folder there are three items: all, default and mysite.com. While the site was developed, some modules were installed into sites/all/modules AND sites/mysite.com/modules, and some of them ONLY to /sites/mysite.com/modules. I don't remember now why it happened.
Does having same modules in sites/all/modules and sites/mysite.com/modules have any adverse effect? Should I remove such modules from one location and have only one copy?
I'm just getting familar with Drupal. And I'm ready to start playing. But the training that I purchased showed me how to install Drupal into a directory on my web server. It would seem to me that if anyone wanted to get to this site, they'd have to go to: mywebsite.com/thefoldername. Is that true? If so, how do I make it so that the drupal website replaces my existing website? Upload the Drupal tarball to the root of my public HTML folder and expand there? Install there? Thank you in advance.
We are one corporation that acts on 3 different countries. Basically we are 3 different companies that share the same look-and feel but act on the same field but for different regions/market.
In fact there should be 3 different domain names with different country codes. Like sitename.ee, sitename.lv and sitename.lt
Basic company information is in 3+2 languages (Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian + English and Russian). If it would be one site per installation then I would just translate these pages.
I have unzipped D7 to /var/www/ on Mandriva. I have created the database with mysql. But I can't get the install.php on firefox. I get the error 404 : Object not found. How can I know the exact path to drupal folder? Thank you.
