My website use all the resources for my server (VPS) because of the 500 greeting cards sized 800Mo each.
How could i decrease the resources use by my server without change the size of the cards. Do you know a module for it ?
Hello, I've had several installations of Drupal 7.0 in sub directories and just a simple index.html in my home directory, and all was good. Recently, I installed Drupal 7.12 in the home directory and this install seems to work ok, but breaks the installs in my sub directories. When I say breaks, I mean removes all styling, so that it's just stripped down html only. I've spoken to my host (GreenGeeks) and they have suggested that my .htaccess file in my home directory may need tweaking, but unfortunately this is over my head and beyond the support GreenGeeks is willing to give.
It's hard to tell exactly which version of PHP they are running since it just says 5. Also, it's tough to tell which version of MySQL they have available since it doesn't state a version number.
Is anyone out there hosting a drupal site using this service?
I thought I'd kick the tires on Open Enterprise (OE) and ran into an issue installing.
OE wants FTP access. I don't use FTP to install Drupal because I have a dedicated server over which I have complete control. I use ssh and wget to get myself up and running. Standard Drupal 7 doesn't need FTP access to my server. Why does OE? Quite frankly, this is a hassle for a number of reasons. Most importantly, I don't leave the FTP server running unless I need it, and that's rare.
