Installing Drupal

Hey everyone,

I am brand new to Drupal as of a few days ago. I downloaded Drupal 6.22 for my website. I began to practice with it on another URL I used to use, but now that is useless: http://www.gameonmovement.org

After spending 2 days and working for many, many hours I finished development of all of the content that I wanted on this site. I then logged out…
After doing so, I could not get back in. I tried everything I could find
?q=node
?q=admin
?q=user
?qmin
etc, etc

I have a Drupal 7 project that I created on my local computer. I am now ready to deploy it on a live web hosting site. Can anyone recommend the two or three web hosting services that allow the deployment of a Drupal project from a local computer with a minimum of hassle? I looked at Dreamhost and it does not seem to be Drupal friendly. Thanks.

The FastCGI Handler was unable to process the request.
Error Details:

The FastCGI process exceeded configured activity timeout
Error Number: 258 (0x80070102).
Error Description: The wait operation timed out.

Internet Information Services (IIS)

Step by step procedure how to setup ultimate cron in drupal 6 and give me examples.

I'm trying to install Drupal 6 on a freshly installed CentOS 5.8

Postgres is already running

select version();

PostgreSQL 8.1.23 on x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu

But the Drupal installer keeps telling me this

Database configuration

Your web server does not appear to support any common database types. Check with your hosting provider to see if they offer any databases that Drupal supports.

How can I fix this? Any help appreciate. Thanks.

Hi guys. I've been trying to figure out this particular problem for a few hours now, and my search has turned up nothing.

I'm trying to do the basic Acquius DAMP install on Windows 7 x64, local installation only because I'm just testing the system out for now. This happens with both the Drupal 6 and Drupal 7 versions.

Here's the error I get:
