Installing Drupal

Nodes not displaying text in HTML format, but showing html codes beside the text.

When I create or edit a node, the HTML toolbar appear and you can used and view text in html format. But ones you save it and you view the nodes outside the edit function the html codes appear beside the text (http://fieldway.co.nz/synbetting/)

I have read many web sites talking this error but none of them are useful for me.
I got this error when I installed either Drupal 6 or Drupal 7 on my Vista machine.

I'm using Drupal 6 for the very first time, and trying to pulbish the sites that i've been building in my computer..
I've copyed all files to the server, including the database export file, but i can't access to any site.
the error mensage that is given is:

"The site is currently not available due to technical problems. Please try again later. Thank you for your understanding.

I'm new to Drupal but not to installing scripts/software for website creation. I've freshly installed the latest Drupal (7...) and the main core has been working fine. I've been trying to install Ubercart, of which you are required to install various other modules beforehand:

Rules
Views
Ctools
Entity

Had various problems activating some of these in the form of the dreaded Error 500 Internal Server Error. Eventually, with A LOT of patient refreshing, I got the site up and running.

I then had an 'admin status report' notification which told me that one of the modules that I had installed directly from the Drupal website, (ColorBox), was out of date. Downloaded it, updated it, etc, bang, same thing again, Error 500. I've since completely deleted this module but still have the Error 500 problem on my site, as below:

HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfil the request.

My site is: http://pinkgarden.co.uk/mp it's a test site so that I can figure Drupal out and see if it can do what I'm trying to achieve. So far, I'm not having much luck as it keeps going down...

Am I doing something wrong? Why am I receiving these errors frequently? I'm not installing tons of modules, and I only install and activate things one by one. Once they work ok, I then try another.

I feel Drupal installation is difficult :

(1)No web site tell me how to setup a Drupal development site on a Windows 7 or Windows Vista machine. Most of them assume we have already had a web site registered in a web hosting company and we can setup a Drupal site by moving your unzip file to your web site and then .....
Currently, I am just studying Drupal and find out whether it is suitable for my company.
Could you teach me or give some links talking about how to setup a development on a Windows 7 machine ?
