Installing Drupal

Hi everybody,

I just have a problem to resolve: I'm working on a new website and for that I have three hostings (and also 3 DBs and accesses) : sandbox (sub-domain), preview (sub-domain)and production (main domain).

I use a nice tool given by my host provider which I can simply copy entire website and DB (usefull when I publish preview website to prod').
But I have different DB, tables and MySQL user..., and I cannot made exception when I copy the website, so the settings.php file is replaced by the one in preview.

Hello guys, i need some help how to migrate drupal live site to local host using xampp.
I'm newbie to drupal. And the website is made by previous developer, and i've given task to make some changes in localhost before transfer to web server. Mostly im working with wordpress and php. So if the master here can give me hints, really help me guys.

I've tried to install xampp, i backup the database, and when i'm import the databse it is not working.
Or maybe there is some step i missed.

I'm trying to duplicate an existing drupal install, I copied all the files and just imported my db and now I'm getting this error:

PDOException: SQLSTATE[28000] [1045] Access denied for user 'inetga72'@'184.168.46.131' (using password: YES) in lock_may_be_available() (line 167 of /home/content/66/9918066/html/includes/lock.inc).

But the db data in my default/settings.php looks all fine... what is it about the lock? And how do I explicitly unlock it? :o

I try to install Drupal Commerce KickStart 7.x-2.0-rc1 but when I decompress the archive, I have an problem... The commerce_discount_usage_h file is missing... So when I install Drupal on my server I have many error..

I try to redownload it but I have always the same error. I try the .tar archive else....

Someone have a solution ?
