7.23 install loops back to Choose Profile step

My environment:

  • Drupal 7.23
  • Windows Server 2008
  • IIS 7
  • PHP 5.5.4

While trying to install Drupal from mywebsite.com/install.php, the following occurs:

  1. On the Choose Profile screen, I select either one of the options (I've tried both), then click Save and Continue.
  2. On the Choose Language screen, there is only one option: English (built-in). I leave as is and then click Save and Continue.
  3. The Choose Language screen processes scripts for about 5 seconds, then returns to the Choose Profile screen

I have tried the following:

  • Re-downloading the Drupal install files
  • Deleting and recopying the settings.php file
  • Changing folder permissions for Everyone to have full access (just for testing purposes, to rule out file permissions issues)
  • Swapping out jquery.js in the misc folder with an uncompressed development copy of jquery

The interesting thing is that I can progress through the install if I "manually build" the query string on the URL. For example, if I type in mywebsite.com/install.php?profile=standard&locale=en, then it will successfully take me to the Set Up Database screen (as it has successfully verified requirements). The issue I run into here is two-fold:

Internal Server Error when trying to access /admin or login to site

I have just uploaded my site to the live environment.

It is working OK but if I try to access the admin area or login to the site I get an internal server error.

I have only edited setting.php and sites.php

Thank you

Blank pages and error message during installation

I'm not sure if this post belongs in this section but can't find support for drop jobs. I've just attempted to install the latest alpha version of drop jobs and get an error message in the last stage of the install:
"An AJAX HTTP error occurred. HTTP Result Code: 500 Debugging information follows. Path: http://impressjob.com/install.php?profile=drop_jobs&locale=en&id=30&op=do StatusText: error ResponseText:"

Drupal 7 File Transfer and Database Issues

I have been working for days to get my first Drupal site transferred from the localhost to the webhost server. In the creation of the site I used the Acquia Drupal stack and have the site ready to go live, but cannot seem to getting to work. I am using HostGator as my server to host the site, I created an empty database to transfer everything into but nothing.

I've scanned the internet and even search YouTube for a solution, and the best one I found was from lynda.org (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zh6Vunp7M8U). In the video is suggests using FileZilla for the FTP. With the exception of changing the site file name as it says in the video I followed everything step by step (I did not see "web accessible url' anywhere on the hosting server). There are many issues that have come up though on the install:

1. When transferring the files using FileZilla I copied the main folder like the video says to the public_html folder. Out of the thousands of files contained within it only 20 transferred, and I have no idea why. Under the "Failed Transfers" tab it merely states next to each file "Could not start transfer". I even tried added individual folders within the main after the queue finished and they still came up as "Could not start transfer".

OS X-Acquia-MySQL Error: can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost'(61)

Hi -
Total CMS newbie - but I keep trying.

I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.5. on a MacBookPro.

I just downloaded and installed Acquia Desktop Control Panel.
I'm using it to import the latest version of Drupal but I get the error msg shown above.
I don't know what to do. (the tutorial said this would be simple).

During the import site process on the ADCP I selected "Create a new database", gave the "New DB name" drupal2, and used drupal2 for the "Server:" under Domain.
