Themes won't save their configurations and are missing left navigation block except bluemarine.

Go in as Admin and try to edit the themes defaults...like primary links, logo etc...hit save...refreshes page...log out/in..nothing changed!
Go back to settings...they revert back to defaults discarding anything entered.

What is really strange is that I can change to another theme, it has a check box selected to show navigation block, however, it is not present when the theme invokes let alone any changes I have added.

So its hard to navigate cause the left block is missing.
Switching back to the bluemarine theme brings back the block.

Can't see archives or event.module

I'm running the HEAD version from CVS (current as of 10/18/05) and when I try to navigate to any archive page or any event page (including the event control panel screen), I get a totally blank page.

The page is simply thus:

{html><body></body></html>

(Note -- the first brace is to get around the "suspicious" forum filter.)

Any ideas??

UserName and Password added to database but can't login

Hi;
I setup drupal, and i created the first user, second and third user; but i didnt recieve and email with the password. is there a problem with the email sending thing?

i then checked the database and found the users i have created. i changed the password from the database but the same thing when i tried to login i couldnt.

does anyone have a similar case and found a solution.

N.B: i have to add that there is a header couldnt be found thing and all hearders have been sent.

warning in modul acidfree media

when i start the "create entry in acidfree" there are following message:

installtion problem. Step 4. Connecting to Drupal..

Hi

The installation instruction manual tells for the 4. step "connecting drupal" the following:

" The default configuration can be found in the
'sites/default/settings.php' file within your Drupal installation."

I installed Drupal under Debain and my default installation directory seems to be:

/usr/share/drupal/

But in this directory I can't find the directory "sites" and therefore the file settings.php

Should I create the directory "sites" under /usr/share/drupal/ ?

Error in Modul acidfree

Hello,

i have a problem whith the acidfree-modul. When i click the acidfree in the control-manager the following message is display:

"No image toolkit has been properly installed or configured. Go to admin/settings to fix this."

I use the drupal under windows and php 4.0. I don't found the GD-Library for windows and PHP.

Is there any user to help me?
