Installing Drupal

Good Afternoon,

I've installed a new installation of Drupal, my first, and I'm certainly enjoying it. I'm running into a problem, however, in that I can't seem to make my aggregator update.

I don't think it's a cron issue, since telling it to update manually continues to have old information.
I've tried clearing out the entries from the SQL table manually, but when I update, it adds the same (old) entries back in.

I installed Drupal 4.6.3 using Fantastico, and none of the themes are working.

I checked the permissions on all the directories in my install. All of the files are set to read and execute by everybody.

I tried putting in a different theme engine and a compatible theme, it still did not work.

I tried logging out, creating a new account and logging in with it, same problem.

I tried different browsers, same problem in every one.

I have searched these forums, and did not find a solution.

There are no errors in the logs.

Moved my site from Vizaweb (do NOT go there - having serious growth problmes) to a new host.

Backed up and restored the mysql data, copied over all the program files and folders, changed the username and password in the settings.php file - when I went bring up the page for the first time, it was blank - no nothing.

I turned on the php errors and get the following when trying to access my site: Any ideas? Thanks!!!!

I am unable to create the initial admin account with ver. 4.6.3. When I bring up Drupal, I attempt to enter a user name and password and when I click enter, I am returned to a login screen. I have searched the forums and bug reports and I see about 50 instances of the same problem with 49 different "solutions", none of them applicable to me. Is there a solution to this problem? I am pulling my hair out on this one.

This is what I have:

I've extracted phptemplate into the engine directory, and uploaded the spreadfirefox theme, along with other phpt. themes, and I get no menus, just "supject ?>" and "content ?>" where things should be.

Normal templates all work fine, so I guess there's something basic i've done wrong installing the theme engine.

I am new to drupal and mysql. The INSTALL of the audio module says: mysql -u username -p password drupal < audio.mysql
so i SSH to the right directory and typt this with the proper username, password and databasename.
