About

A link management module.

Provides a content entity for managing links, with linkit integration.

Links are inserted as references to the link entity, but resolved to the external URL via an input filter.

That way if your link changes, you update it once and it is updated through all content.

Provides a Dynamic entity reference (DER) widget with the notion of Inline Entity Form (IEF), if you need an entity reference field that references internal and external content, create a new DER field and choose the linky widget and formatter.

In the widget, if you don't select an existing link from the autocomplete, you can enter a title, giving you the equivalent of an IEF for new link entities.

Versions

8.x-1.x

This version is compatible with Drupal 8, 9 and 10.

2.x

This version is compatible Drupal 10.1 and above as it includes the revision UI from linky_revision_ui which requires 10.1.

This branch requires PHP 8.1. Future development will be done on this branc.

NOTE: If using the 1.x branch prior to alpha 10, please update to the latest 1.x version and run updates before updating to 2.x in order to correctly upgrade the Linky entity to revisionable.
