Web Dashboard builds dashboards with Display Builder. It keeps the entity and permission model of the Dashboards module, and uses Display Builder instead of Layout Builder.
The default dashboards greet each person with their picture and quick actions, then show the key numbers of the site at a glance.
Features
- Dashboards are config entities, so they export and import with the site configuration.
- Build a dashboard in Display Builder, and let people personalize their own copy, with a reset to default.
- A view and a personalize permission for each dashboard, and a Dashboards toolbar tray.
- A Welcome item: the user picture or initials, a greeting, member since, roles and quick actions.
- A Site overview item: a card for each content type, people, form submissions, API clients and site health, so every site shows what it is made for.
- Dashboard items as blocks: current user, add content links, error report, top 404 pages, RSS news, update status, views and more, with optional Chart.js charts.
- Submodules for comments, statistics, views, webform submissions and Matomo.
Default dashboards
The Web Dashboard recipe (drupal/webdash) adds ready-made Webmaster and Editorial dashboards, with the welcome card and the site overview. To apply it to a site:
ddev composer require drupal/webdash
ddev drush recipe ../recipes/webdash
ddev drush cache:rebuildThen open /webdashboard/webmaster or /webdashboard/editorial.
