Awesome, and leaving a txt/md file on solr-conf/6.x and solr-conf/7.x with reference to the same issue?

How do we use Drupal 8 with Solr 8? Will there be 8.x solr config template files?

Please don’t post on closed issues.

Anyway, the template folder is just internal. You should not care about it. Just configure your search api Solr server via the GUI and set Solr to 8.x or autodetect if the server is reachable. Save and download the config.zip.

The small differences between 7.x and 8.x are handled by the config generator in code. It is not worth the effort to maintain dedicated templates for 8.x.
