The “Fix Teaserlinks” module is a simple module that may be used to manage the visibility of the links that appear below teasers (i.e. “Add new comment”, “Log in or register to post comments”, “Read more”).

It is intended for site builders who want a cleaner look of teaser lists.

Note: If you're using Drupal 8 (or later), and you just want to remove the links, you don't need this extension. Just go to "Manage display" for the content type, and move the "Links" field down under "Disabled".

Installation

  1. Install as you would normally install a contributed Drupal module. See links to guides below for information.
  2. Enable the "Fix Teaserlinks" module in the administrative interface.
  3. Rebuild all caches.

You may refer to the Drupal.org guides for installing modules for Drupal 7 or Drupal 10.

Configuration

By default, this module will not do anything until you change a setting from its default false/0 to true/1.

See README.md to see how you do this.

Troubleshooting

Changed settings will not have an effect until caches are cleared or rebuilt. If toggling a setting does not have the expected effect, make sure you've cleared or rebuilt caches before reporting it as a bug.

If uninstalling the D8 version triggers an exception or causes a WSOD, delete the file fixteaserlinks.install before you try to uninstall the module.

Development status

This use of this project is no longer needed, and its use is deprecated. Instead, use the "Manage display" feature in core to control link visibility.
