This is a first alpha release of 8.x-2.x branch. This new branch has a major change in architecture. Dynamic entity reference field now supports entities with string ids as well. There is an upgrade path from 8.x-1.x to 8.x-2.x. All the bugs will be fixed in 8.x-1.x first and then forward ported to 8.x-2.x.
