Hi,
I just compared Drupal 8.1.1 vs Backdrop 1.4.2 in the backend administrative area. Both come with a nice & responsive design overall.

However when I browse at admin/structure/views, admin/structure/contact, admin/content and etc, I was shocked that Drupal 8 has NO responsive tabular listing in core by default, just half-baked responsive as follows.

Also, the Admin Toolbar of Drupal 8 keeps refreshing with severe lagging effect per every click, not appealing.

At last, Clients prefer BackdropCMS over Drupal 8. Hopefully Drupal 8 could improve its interface.

Thanks

This does not look like a critical issue at all; downgrading

Toolbar performance already has an issue #2542050: Toolbar implementation creates super annoying re-rendering..

I opened an issue for Views at #2729707: Administration screen of the Views listing is not responsive. Drupal 8 has an API for responsive tables which works OK, but it has not been used for the views overview.

@catch,

Funny, here's a module Toolbar Anti Flicker solving the flickering.

Another Admin Toolbar module to enable drop-down menu.

I tested both and worked nicely, should be brought into core instead of being separate projects.

@paulwdru there's a core patch here that needs review #2542050: Toolbar implementation creates super annoying re-rendering., if you tested that patch and reported back to the issue, it might help it get into core.

@Catch,

Perhaps contact the Maintainer of Toolbar Anti Flicker.

Though flicker almost vanishes with the patch module, Toolbar still seems rather heavy degrading the performance of page load.

I'm looking for alternatives replacing the Toolbar completely just like using the Admin Menu in D7, fast and efficient, Toolbar sucks and stuck. Just my 2 cents, thanks

I think we have 2 dedicated issues to solve the problems, so nothing left to do in this issue?

Thanks for reporting @paulwdru, let's continue there.
