Drupal Forums Bad for SEO?

In looking at the forums - they really aren't that good and searching for drill down is non-existent unfortunately. But what also is irking is that there isn't a way to reference each individual post as it's own page as it is with many forums. Isn't this very poor for seo? Essentially right now it looks like drupal is listed based upon the thread of an entire page and not invividual posts. Not sure if good or bad.
